Wet Tire Dressing — Wet-Look Tire Shine
Clean the rubber first. Every finish here goes on bare, clean tires — start with JJ's Tire Cleaner, then choose your finish below.
- Deep wet-look black. A glossy, just-wet finish for sidewalls that pop.
- Spreads even, no sling. In our tape-split test the foam pad laid an even coat that dried slick, reflective black — no pooling.
- Reapply per wash. Built for the look, refreshed at wash-time — durability is the Semi-Perm Coating's job.
Directions for use
- Start with a clean, dry tire
- spray onto the tire or a pad
- rub in
- buff excess with a microfiber
- wait 30 min between layers

Which finish is right for you?
Two things decide it: the look you want, and how long you want it to last. Here’s what each finish is made for.
Semi-Gloss
- Newer daily drivers
- Luxury sedans (BMW, Mercedes, Lexus)
- Trucks & SUVs you want looking factory-fresh
Wet Look
- Show cars & weekend cruisers
- Muscle & classic cars
- Lifted trucks · photo day & meets
Semi-Permanent
- Daily drivers you don’t want to redo
- Cars that see rain or frequent washes
- Winter & road trips
Two kinds of finish. Pick one.
A dressing and a coating do the same job two different ways. Here’s the trade-off, plainly — no fine print. You clean the tire, then choose one; you don’t stack them.
Dressings — Semi-Gloss & Wet
- Wipe or spray on, buff, done — no cure time
- Choose your look: natural satin or wet-look gloss
- Washes off with water — just reapply to refresh
- The last step for most people
Coating — Semi-Permanent
- Bonds to clean bare rubber like a clear coat for tires
- Cures to a deep gloss that won’t wipe away
- Won’t wash off with water · keep dry 24 hrs to cure
- Used instead of a dressing, not over it
Clean the tire, then pick the finish that fits how often you want to think about it.

How long does it hold?
The specifics: The deep, just-detailed gloss for your sidewalls. In our 50/50 split it went on even and dried to a slick, reflective black. It's a dressing: built for the look, reapplied at wash-time. If you're after a cured finish that doesn't wipe off, that's the Semi-Perm Coating — different jobs, labeled as such.
It depends on the surface and the weather, not just the bottle. A restored finish holds longest on a clean, prepped surface that isn't blasted by sun and rain every day. We won't pretend one application lasts forever.
